This year, our cohort is proud to be supporting the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) in memory of our dear colleague, Tina Sellen, who sadly passed away from ovarian cancer. The OCRF is dedicated to improving outcomes for people affected by ovarian cancer, the most lethal gynaecological cancer in Australia. This will help support vital ovarian cancer research across four key areas: earlier detection, managing recurrence, developing new and improved treatments, and prevention. Despite the significant impact of ovarian cancer, research remains underfunded. This makes supporting the work of the OCRF especially important to our cohort, and gives us the opportunity to contribute to research that may improve outcomes for people affected by the disease in the future. Through Vets Uncovered 2027, 50% of the funds we raise will be donated to the OCRF, helping support the researchers working towards earlier detection, better treatments and, ultimately, a future with better outcomes for those affected by ovarian cancer. We are incredibly proud to support the OCRF in Tina’s memory and grateful to everyone who helps us make a difference.
